Local Institutes and Chapters

Local Institutes and Chapters are the delivery channel for local insurance education services. They work with community colleges, universities and employers to arrange classes for the General Insurance Essentials, CIP, and Fellowship programs; they organize seminars, workshops, and luncheons on topics of interest to the insurance community; several act as the providers of various licensing examinations; some have organized libraries of insurance material; they arrange to speak with local students about careers in the industry and other insurance issues; many offer networking opportunities and other social activities for their members.

Services targeted at the needs of Chartered Insurance Professionals (CIP) and Fellow Chartered Insurance Professionals (FCIP) are delivered through local divisions of the Chartered Insurance Professionals' Society.

Local Institutes and Chapters have Governing Councils that are composed of volunteers from the industry and usually have a part- or full-time staff to put the Councils' plans in place.

The following is a list of Local Institutes and Chapters. For contact information about their Governing Councils, their offices, and educational and other offerings, just click on the name of the Institute or Chapter nearest you.
