CIP Program
Credits/Exemptions
Credits granted will be recognized as transfer credits only
and will not be assigned a grade. This may affect
qualification for an Honours CIP certificate and a student’s
chance at winning a CIP prize.
The Institute issues credits for courses from the following
programs:
Insurance Brokers Association of Canada
With a completed CAIB designation only, applicants are
eligible for three (3) credits. They include:

C11—Principles and Practice of Insurance
-
C130—Essential Skills for
the Insurance Broker and Agent
-
ONE (1) unspecified ELECTIVE
credit.
The IAO School
A1 = C36—Building Construction, Fire Protection and Basic
Hazards
A2 = C37—Industrial and Process Hazards
A3 = C38—Casualty Loss Prevention
Provincial Agent/Broker Licencing
Credits are issued for the successful completion of
provincial licencing requirements and examinations from the
following provinces: Alberta, Newfoundland, Northwest
Territories, Ontario, and Quebec. The credits issued vary
with the requirements of each province. Please verify with
your local institute.

the official result or evidence of success—the actual
mark and certificate. |
