For
some time, The Insurance Institute of Canada has been involved in discussions
on a national level with P&C leaders and frontline managers from all sectors
of the business. The focus of these discussions has been the relevance of
the CIP Program curriculum.
Overwhelmingly,
the insurance community appreciates and values the important contributions
made by graduates of the CIP Program. At the same time, it has recommended
curriculum changes that would align the program more closely with the required
functional competencies of employees and the needs of employers, while creating
a higher demand for those who carry the designation.
After
analyzing the industry's requests for more skill-based courses and greater
emphasis on knowledge application, we have undertaken to restructure the curriculum
for the CIP Program.
We have attempted to ensure a smooth transition and provide clear information
to all students and stakeholders. Whether you are a CIP student, or a
HR professional with employees who have questions, please visit the appropriate
section of this site and if you need further assistance, please go to
our contact page and an informed IIC representative would be pleased to
personally address any questions you may have. |
